Our very successful Gaelic for Mothers and Others programmes starts back on the 5th April, under the dedicated stewardship of Paul Nash. Our team is made up of a friendly bunch of ladies from all backgrounds, abilities and ages. Some have never played football before and want to know more about it as their children are more involved, others have played before and are keen to handle the ball again.
Training takes place every Wednesday night in Piltown at 8.15pm on the top pitch. Training normally consists of a warm up, some ball handling drills, some kicking skills development and is always followed by a short game. The spirit of G4M+O is that games are non-competitive and the whole experience is about having fun and getting to know more people through our sport.
Non-competitive games are arranged throughout the summer playing other G4M+O teams in our locality and our big event is the annual all Ireland blitz which takes place each October in Portmarnock.
You can find more information about the G4M+O programme here: LGFA G4M+O Info or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information
