Our Mens side of the club has been in operation since the early 80’s, with some super successes under our belt, with our current group of players and the generation that went before them. Our Senior mens team reached Croke park in 2016 to play in the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Final against Westport. Unfortunately the result didn’t go our way on the day and we were beaten by a point, but the journey to Croke Park brought the community go leir le cheile and established East Meath as a hub of football for the county teams.

We’ve 5 adult mens teams –

Senior team – are competing in the Senior Championship for the first time in 25 years having been promoted from the Intermediate ranks. The team are also competing in the All County A League. Manager is Des Lane.

Junior B team – are competing in the Junior B Championship as well as the All County B League. Manager is Liam Walsh, assisted by Greg Foxe, Joe Kelly and Jackser Kavanagh.

Junior D team – newly formed adult men’s team this year, will be competing in the Junior D Championship. The team is being managed by Neil Cooney and Gary McCloskey assisted by Niall Ronan. The team is featuring stars of the past, present and future and is open to anyone who wants to get back playing football more competitively. Contact Neil, Gary or Niall for more information.

Gaelic4Dads & Lads team – established over 4 years ago,  this team is for men who want to play Gaelic football for fitness and fun, catering for all abilities. Our ethos is ‘all are equal regardless of ability’. Training  is on Mondays 9pm throughout most of the year and involves fitness training, football skills and training matches. The team also have: challenge matches against other similar teams mainly in the Dublin area during the year – participation is voluntary; golf outings and fundraising such as ‘Movember’. Some of our members also play with the Junior D team. New members are always welcome and more information is available on their Facebook page ‘Cilles G4D & Lads’. You can also ontact Joe Kelly, Gar Phelan or Aidan Darcy.
