Message from Chairman
Good evening everyone
It was another very busy week and an even busier one awaits as the weather improves and we ramp up activities
A LOOK BACK ON THE WEEK JUST GONE
· Well done to Ben Brennan and Graham Reilly who both started for Meath in the draw v Roscommon in Dr Hyde Park on Sunday
· Our Adult men started their league campaign last Saturday night. A severely understrength team went down to the famed O Mahonys on a 2-11 to 0-11 score line. There was a super crowd in attendance on the night and we want to see those crowds continuing to come to Piltown and getting behind all our teams in 2018. We encourage all our young teams to come out and enjoy the games. All our young players are very welcome to have a “kick around” on the top pitch during the game. Rd2 of the league sees us make the long journey to Moynalvey on Sunday morning. Throw in 11am – get the breakfast in early
· We had a superb night at the launch of our OSKARS event on Friday. Our thanks to the Black Bull for making us feel very welcome. The films were named and cast members were assembled and on March 16th you can enjoy a host of movies from the Snapper, Forrest Gump, to Fatal Attraction and all the way to Pulp Fiction. Tickets will be available shortly but in the meantime if you can support our actors in their fundraising efforts then we would be very grateful. Advertisements are available in our commerative programme so please contact us here or at treasurer@cilles.com and chairman@cilles.com for further information. We would love to hear from you. There are still some roles to be filled so if you would like to take part then please let us know
On Saturday I had the pleasure of joining many of our coaches at the “Player Pathway” workshop excellently presented by GPO Niall Kane and Coaching Officer Micky Conlon. We will be announcing further workshops in the next week. I also had to skip the league match in Piltown to attend the Junior and Senior Trath na gCeist competition in Navan. Our own Denise Morgan is the Irish and Culture officer for Meath County Board and Denise put on a superb show and ran an excellent ever. Both our teams did the club proud although the senior team had a major week link(being myself) of course. Thankfully Conor, Fiona and Gwen were the real stars of the night !! A special word to the Junior team of Caoimhe, Alannah, Andrew and Conor who came 4th on the night. A superb achievement by a great team

The National Draw tickets must be returned this week. Priced at a very reasonable €10 every cent raised goes straight to the club. Please contact your team manager or u here and we will reserve a ticket for you.
