Message from the Chairman
Hi Everyone
Sorry I missed last week’s update – Oskar’s, full schedule of games and Mid-term break saw the week run away from me.
Today marks ONE year since the Club appeared in Croke Park on that glorious All Ireland Final day. We all have our own special memories of that special day. I certainly have a bag load. I’d encourage everyone to use those memories to inspire us forward. There are so many great days ahead.
I have been absolutely blown away by the positivity, the effort and the hard work of all our Oskar participants. You should all be so proud of them. The two weeks just passed have seen an wonderful quiz night, an afternoon tea and two great camps of teenagers and younger members and an energising and invigorating hill walks . Let’s not forget our hard working car washers! This weekend sees the following events
Wednesday: Register in the Clubhouse for the East Meaths fittest family event from 7.30-8.30 (dressing room)
Friday 23rd Feb: Craft Beer and luxury cake tasting event
Saturday 24th Feb: 5 aside Astro tournament
Saturday 24th Feb: Sam Maguire comes to Southgate
Saturday 24th Feb: 90’s Disco night – Morans
Sunday 25th Feb : Dress sale and coffee day – 10am to 14:00
All the events are in Piltown. Tickets of the 16th March Oskar’s event are now on sale. You can reserve yours here by dropping us a message, through any coach and the tickets are also available online at www.cilles.com
Oskars filming takes place this weekend for Bridget Jones, Fatal Attraction and A Few Good Women, good luck to the actors in all of these. If you want to be an extra, we’re looking for help so contact us to find out more
Everyone has put a huge effort into making the Oskar’s an event to remember and I’d encourage everyone to get out now and buy a ticket and support the club. All funds raised go towards our infrastructure projects.
Membership subs are now due. An instalment plan is also available to pay the fees and where possible payment should be effected via the online portal that has been emailed to everyone and that is also on www.cilles.com VERY IMPORTANT : there is no access to the injury fund unless players are registered. Registration is not possible unless a payment/part payment is made. In addition only members that have paid or are part of the instalment plan prior to 31 March 2018 are eligible to nominate officers and vote at AGM. This is your club and it’s important that everyone has their say
UPCOMING GAMES
