Club Strategic Planning process launched
It has been a very successful period for the club and one that has come about through the hard work, vision and dedication of all our volunteers. In the last week alone we have seen history created with a first hurling final, a first ever senior quarter final and our men’s junior teams are unbeaten in championship action for the first time. Our ladies teams are a credit to everyone involved and continue to go from strength to strength. These are truly exciting times.
However it is critical that as a club, we now take the time to reflect on how we have got here, where we want to go in the future and crucially how will we achieve it. With that in mind, Chairman Keith Loughman today formally announced the launch of a Club Strategic Planning process the aim of which will be to set our objectives for the stage of our development and plot the road map to achieve that. The process will be conducted over the next few months and as Chair, Keith will be very active in this meeting with all the various stakeholders across the club and interested parties and fleshing out how we will achieve our goals and implement your suggestions.
The first part of the process will be to take a “temperature” check and garner everyone’s views on various aspects of club life – including coaching, facilities, health promotion, our role in the community etc. With that in mind we set out below two links to short surveys that we ask all club members to complete. These links will also be emailed to all members who have provided their email contact details as part of the registration process. Survey 1 is a short simple survey asking everyone to simply rank our performance in various aspects of club life. Survey 2 requires your suggestions as to how we should improve each aspect and we want to hear that in detail. The survey will remain open until 30th August and we ask everyone to take a few moments to complete this and everyone to play your part in step 1 of this process
Over the next few months we will be holding a series of meetings with various groups and stakeholders and working with them in detail on how those plans and an open club meeting open to all to air your views and suggestions. We will keep everyone updated on progress over the coming period and look forward to meeting you all and planning for our future
