A super day was enjoyed by our U10 teams, coaches, parents, mentors and volunteers in Piltown on Sunday, when the 19th staging of our U10 ‘Festival of Football’ took place in Piltown.
We want to call out a few very special people, without whom, the event wouldn’t have been possible. First and foremost, Shane Black – who provided all of the medals and trophies for our winners on the day. No event would be complete without the grub and for that, we have Alan Kelly of FoodCo to thank for supplying the BBQ food. Tesco got involved and we thank them greatly for supplying the goodie bags for the 240 kids and also enough sandwiches to feed the kids. A special thanks goes to Damien Callaghan the store manager in Tesco in Bettystown and Lisa McEvoy the community champion who spend hours putting the 240 goodie bags together – thanks to Oisin Gartlan for organising this with Tesco.
Also thank Crazy Fruit in South Gate who kindly sponsored cases of fruit on the day, always very important to have the healthy options for our children and again, to our super patron, Val Darcy, fom Budget Signs who never lets us down when it comes to getting the signs and posters we need for our club events.
