Hurling update
Fundraising initiative for Hurling teams:
As you may be aware each team is required to do fundraising for the club every year. Some team do bake sales etc to raise funds for the club and this year for the hurling teams we are going to try something a little bit different and design and sell our own t-shirt with the profits going to the club as our fundraising efforts. We are asking players, coaches and parents to submit a #slogan about what hurling/Colmcilles/GAA means to them and then we will ask a t-shirt company to print up a t-shirt using some of the submissions resulting in our very own Colmcilles Hurling T-shirt. We will then sell these @ €10 for children’s sizes and €15 for adult sizes. We hope as many of you as possible will support this as we felt that this was a nice way to fundraise but also means that everyone gets a t-shirt as well. Please email your or your kids # ideas to me or put them under the post which will feature on facebook soon and if possible please also let me know how many t-shirts you would be likely to purchase and sizes required. Final orders will be taken at a later date but it would be great if I could get some idea of quantities and sizes as soon as possible. Get thinking please!
Christy Ring final, bus from Stamullen:
Our Meath hurlers have made it to the Christy Ring final, which will take place on Saturday 22nd June in Croke Park. We have arranged a bus from St Pats, leaving at 12:00 and retuning approx. 17:30 with a stop off in McDonalds on the way home. There are still seats available on the bus if any of our young hurlers wish to go, but please note that younger hurlers must be accompanied by a parent or an identified guardian. Final cost will be in the region of €20/25 depending on numbers but will include bus, ticket and food! Super value for a great day out. Let me know by email if you want to book spaces. Once they are gone they are gone!
