Message from the Chairman
It has been a very difficult week with uncertainty the order of the day. It is at times like this that we realise just how important sport and community are in all our lives.
We know it is very frustrating but unfortunately Piltown and Seafield are closed to all activity until at least 29th March. This means that our pitches, astro and multipurpose rooms are all closed and we ask everyone to please respect this for the greater good. Together we are stronger and together we will beat this crisis. This will pass and we will very soon be out and about again
I want to say how proud we are of the great spirit you have all shown and solidarity of community. I would expect nothing less from the wonderful members that we have and who make us what we are – the leading community group in East Meath. Once again we see the Cilles leading the way and being the first to put up their hands to say – how can I help?. St Colmcilles are Community and we live that every day
Our COVID-19 assistance group are available to to help those in need at this time. GPO Conor is working tirelessly to come up with ideas and exercises to keep our players fresh and in action. Some of our members who are involved in education are offering grinds and assistance to our exam students. All of this makes me so very proud of this great club
Finally I would ask all our members to keep an eye out for those who are in need, to please support all our sponsors and local businesses, they need your support now. Above all we ask you all to be safe and to look after loved ones
With a concerted effort we will all win this battle. We never shirk on the sports field and if we show the same fighting spirit against COVID-19 well there will only be one winner
We are “more than a club” – “Níos mó ná club”
Stay safe everyone ☘☘
