The busiest weekend of the year so far draws its final breath. As the brighter evenings arrive let’s take a moment to reflect on all the great things going on and look to the days ahead.
The Division 3 league team had a mighty win over Simonstown and our Premier 6 took the points v Ballinlough. The Premier 4 team will be frustrated and disappointed to only draw with Clann na Gael in Seafield this morning but the scope for improvement is huge and if everyone ups their performances by a few percentage points then the possibilities are endless.
It was a memorable weekend too for the Ladies with a narrow win away in the Division 2 league to their old rivals Navan O’Mahonys in what was the usual “clinker” between these fine sides. Unfortunately our Division 5 ladies made the long journey to Trim this week but the pitch was deemed unplayable by the referee – above all player safety is paramount so thats fair.
There was much joy and smiling faces this morning as the SHANE BLACK PROPERTY ADVISERS CÚL CILLES ACADEMY returned. Without doubt the greatest academy around, it was so wonderful to welcome back the smiling faces and happy eyes of so many young players. To all those who took their first steps with the famous blue and navy we wish you many years of happiness and joy!
The boys underage seasons kicked off in style this week and will go into overdrive now. The ladies leagues are well underway and our teams are doing so well ! Well done to all our players who took part in competitive action for the first time over the last few weeks. We have a team for every player in the club so just go and enjoy your game and results will look after themselves.
Hopefully the rain has stopped, it’s amazing just how good our pitches are given the conditions and it was just brilliant to be able to host so many games this weekend.
The promise of brighter days is drawing in, let’s go and enjoy every moment!
We are your community club, so get out and support a team and even better come give us a hand! There is literally something every night and we cant wait to see you at a game.
