Round 5 of the division 2 league took the ladies to Moynalvey where they fought hard to ensure victory. It was a bright Sunday evening with a low Sun, giving advantage to Moynalvey in the first half.
The Cilles started strong, but Moynalvey fought back getting the first goal of the game. With Natalie Davitt and Sheena Carroll securing points, the ladies went into the second half with a four point lead.
A refreshed and determined side, cilles ladies stormed into the second half and after ten minutes they were 11 points up thanks to hard work put in by both midfield and the half back line.
Some excellent frees taken by Lauren Collier and 3 well taken goals by skilful forwards further ensuring the lead.
Moynalvey threatened towards the end of the second half but stalwart Tracey Brennan at 3 lead the defence in keeping them at bay.
Score finished 4-16 to 1-08.
