Last Saturday saw 24 of our Gaelic for Mothers and Others team travel with coach, Paul Nash, and management team to Portmarnock for their annual blitz. The ladies played 6 matches against teams from Kerry, Cork, Down, Dublin and Galway. The last game of the day was against old rivals Man O War, and its safe to say that Cilles had a moral victory in the game!
The girls brought their usual extensive supplies with them and ended up feeding other teams and referees, a gesture which boded well in the games!
Gaelic for mothers is non-competitive and scores are not kept in any of the games. The blitz is an opportunity for ladies from around the country to travel together as a team, play together, meet other teams and then to celebrate the day together that night. See more information on the blitz here
