St. Colmcilles U13 Roinn K team were in action on Sunday on a warm sunny morning up in Seafield for their 1st ever U13 league match against Donaghmore/Ashbourne. The Colmcilles boys stepped up to the challenge with flying colours right from the start and contested every ball, despite going behind by a couple of points by the 1st water break the lads battled back and lead by 3 points by half-time. After the restart they really stepped up a gear and scored a couple of very well worked goals. The Don/Ash lads battled very hard right to the end but the strength and depth of the Cilles bench played a big part in securing a well-deserved win in the end for their 1st competitive game at U13. A massive thank you to the Donaghmore/Ashbourne lads and their coaches for a well contested game played with great spirit and we look forward to meeting them again soon.
