COLM HILLIARD SPONSORSHIP

A former Cilles player and Executive Committee Member has been so kind as to sponsor some brand new kit for the men's senior football team.

Colm Hilliard who wore the Cilles jersey with distinction has sponsored the training kit for our senior team through his company, www.workpermits.ie

Colm has a deep history with the club, winning his first underage title back in 1974 (an u14 championship). He went on to win Junior (1983) and Intermediate honours (1988). In that fateful year of 1988 he was captain and the only other Cilles player to score in the Bernard Flynn final as it became known … 1-11 of the 1-12 coming from the wee man.
On finishing playing, Colm turned his attention to underage development, winning u12, 14 and 16 titles with a team that gave us Graham Reilly, Carl Mullen, Eoin Woods and Kevin Towell among others. 

Of course his son Cathal is a fine Senior Football player for the Cilles who in the club’s 50th year followed in his fathers footsteps to captain the Seasiders.
