30th June 2020 – Covid-19 Updates
We are working on re-opening the club in the safest and most efficient way. We have a small group working through the GAA “Safe Return to Gaelic Games” updated guidelines. Please note, this document was revised on the 12th June and will most likely be superseded by new guidelines in the coming weeks. We’ll try to keep our information as current as possible.
Obligations of Players before returning
- Complete E-learning manager and share certificate with Team COVID supervisor
- Fill in health questionnaire https://returntoplay.gaa.ie/
- Bring own water bottle to training
- Get in, train and leave.
In the meantime, there are a couple of dates that we’re aiming for.
24th June: The re-opening of our club and the resumption of training. Bear in mind, dressing rooms, gyms and social areas will remain closed in Phase 3 and until further notice. Training (non-contact) will resume for all teams
Friday 26th June: The fixtures of the Ladies football competition will be drawn. Details will be circulated after the draws.
31st July: Meath Adult Mens club football championship resumes – draws will be made on LMFM on Sunday 21st June at 3pm.
12th July: We’re aiming for a resumption of the Shane Black Cúl Cilles academy – this will be different that it has been so please bear with us. In the mean time, the academy continues online with Connor Brennan, our GPO, for anyone born in 2013/2014/2015. Contact Connor on conor.brennan.gpo.meath@gaa.ie if you want to know more.
For Juvenile players/teams, your coaches will be in touch regarding times and responsibilities prior to your return. The GAA have set out the following guidelines for all PARENTS/GUARDIANS to be aware of, before your child can return. Please click here and follow the necessary instructions.
In order to resume our games safely and in a manner fitting with the requirements of the GAA, each team has to have 2 COVID supervisors. Contact your team manager if you can help with this role.

Anyone who intends to play and train after 29th June, needs to ensure their membership has been paid.
